Edley's Bar-B-Que

This traditional southern stop has gained much notoriety since its opening in 2011. Now with 4 locations across the greater Nashville area, one bite of this BBQ makes it clear why the locals rave about it. Everything in the shop has been planned, tested, and experimented with until they captured the perfect flavors. The pickles are fried to perfection; the nachos have the ideal cheese-to-chip ratio, and the ribs have been smoked and slathered perfectly. They offer two different cuts of ribs. They smoke Saint Louis cut, which is big, meaty, and juicy ribs. Edley's also provides the more lean, tender baby back ribs. All can come with either dry rub or Edley's signature tangy sauce.

Chauhan Ale and Masala House

Co-owned by celebrity chef Maneet Chauhan, downtown’s Chauhan Ale and Masala House has become a favorite in Nashville’s food scene. The unique dining experience here results from a fusion between the chef’s Indian roots and Southern traditions. Nowhere else in town can you find a menu that’s as representative of cities like Mumbai and New Delhi as it is of Nashville. Papadi chips, spicy lamb keema, Provel cheese, tamarind chutney, and cucumber tomato kachumber. That may not sound like ingredients for nachos, but Chauhan Ale & Masala House begs to differ.

Oscar's Taco Shop

Since 1983, the Ruiz brothers have brought some authentic Mexican fajitas to the American table. Their breakfast burritos come as a trio with eggs, cheese, and the customer's choice of proteins. As for everything Tex-Mex, all the food is well-seasoned and spicy. A handsome taco filled with marinated pork strips, guacamole, cilantro, and chopped onions, this one stands as the head minister of all breakfast tacos. Their house-fried tortilla nachos with topping and dip are a great snack, as well.

Bastion

The Wedgewood-Houston (WeHo) neighborhood is a burgeoning community of local Nashville artists. Such an area requires a flagship establishment welcoming the hipster crowd. That’s where Bastion delivers. In a warehouse-style location (garage door entrance and all) with restored vintage decor, Bastion has become the staple bar for WeHo residents looking for their favorite draft beer, creative cocktails, or wine. Bastion’s Bar knocks it out of the park with their renowned nachos. Choose between their smoked pork (tender and tasty) or the vegetarian chorizo (robust and flavorful).

Saint Añejo

Saint Anejo is one of the fanciest Mexican restaurants under the umbrella of M Street, the same company operating Whiskey Kitchen and Virago. Mexican cuisine and Latin mixology are showcased. With a menu of over 120 labels of premium mezcal and tequila, you already know the margaritas will be top-shelf. The food on the menu may seem simple, with traditional offerings like tacos, nachos, and quesadillas, but everything brought to the table is dressed over the top. Not many other Mexican restaurants are suited for a memorable experience like Saint Anejo. A favorite dish is the Chicken Tinga taco with jalapeño crisps and cilantro.
