D'Andrews is a relaxed hangout serving hot coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. They also sell handcrafted cakes and desserts. Nashville native David Andrews, the executive chef/owner, started his journey by traveling to the Big Apple. He spent time honing his craft and learning from some of the best culinary artists. After returning home, he and pastry chef Dean Gallagher opened D'Andrews doors in 2018. On D'andrews extensive and ever-evolving pastry menu, The D’onut is the perfect treat. A soft, sugared brioche filled with sweet vanilla cream. Another favorite is the bacon egg sandwich: Berkshire bacon, free-range egg, white cheddar cheese, roasted tomato mayo on D'Andrews homemade focaccia.

The spotlight goes to The Oscar French Toast. Warm, fluffy cinnamon brioche French toast topped with whipped lemon ricotta, fresh berries, and a thick serving of blueberry compote. For meat lovers, the chicken and waffles with Nashville hot honey and a crispy, tender piece of poultry will be satisfying.

Ladybird’s corn and flour tortillas are made in-house. Their menu boasts 13 tasty tacos. For breakfast, try the #4 (chorizo, scrambled eggs, and Monterey Jack cheese) for a slightly spicy kick. If you’re vegan, the #5 is perfect (black beans, potatoes, and avocado).

Their menu is full of southern food classics such as pit-cooked pork BBQ, chicken salad, sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, and fried okra. They also feature a fantastic breakfast menu, which the cafe serves all day, every day. What’s more southern than that?
Today, Big Bad Breakfast serves breakfast plates full of inspiration. The bourbon-soaked french toast with a side of spicy bacon is delightful. To eat your fill, their Pecan Cluster (chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate sauce, caramel, pecans, and a choice of meat) or “Mother of All Biscuits” (crispy-fried dill chicken breast and cheddar cheese on a buttermilk biscuit, drizzled in hot sauce) will accompany one of their 16 sides.
